A

The brakes should not feel spongy or slack. The brakes should be tested as you set off and the vehicle should not pull to one side.

Tell me where you’d find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.

A

Look in the car manual to find recommended tyre pressures.
Use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold. Don’t forget the spare tyre. Remember to refit valve caps.

It should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable.

switch knob anticlockwise turning on dipped headlights,
move left wand back to switch to main beam,
main beam warning light should be on.

A

Open bonnet with lever under righthand dashboard,
remove dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth, put it back in the holder and take it out again. The oil level should be between the high and low marks.

A

Open bonnet with lever under righthand dashboard,
The coolant level should be between the high and low markings on the radiator header tank / filler cap.
If it is too low, top it up with a water/antifreeze mix, but only when the engine is cold.

A

Open bonnet with lever under righthand dashboard.
The brake fluid level must be between the high and low markings.
If it is too low, top it up with the correct type of brake fluid. This can be found in the vehicle manual.
