A

Brakes should’t feel spongey or slack.
Test them as you set off.
Car shouldn’t pull to one side.

A

Manufacturer’s guide.
Use reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold. Remember to refit valve caps. Don’t forget spare tyre.

A

Adjust it so the rigid part is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable.
Some restraints might not be adjustable.

Turn ignition on and turn wheel, should not be heavy.
Test by:
1) Turn wheel sightly then and start engine, should notice slight movement as it kicks in.
2) Turn the wheel just after moving off to check it.

A

Turn the switch on (engine and dipped headlights on), check warning light is on.
Use when visibility is seriously reduced, < 100m.

Operate switch (with ignition on), turn from dipped to main beam, check with main beam warning light on dash.

Find dipstick, wipe it off, dip it, should be within min and max. If it’s low, fill it up, but over max can damage engine.

A

Find high and low level markings on header tank near radiator filler cap, top up to at or below maximum. Only do when engine is cold otherwise you could get injured.

Find reservoir, check level against the high and low markings. If you need to fill up, get manual and find right type to use.
