What is information and communications technology? (ICT)
Its the computing and communications systems that a business might use to exchange information with stakeholders
What is a stakeholder?
They are individuals and organisations that are affected by and affect the activities of a business
What are intranets?
They’re communication networks which can only be accessed by an organisation’s employees
What are extranets?
They are similar to intranets but can also be accessed by other organisations such as suppliers
What are software robots?
They are advanced computer programs that can operatenanrange of administrative activities previously carried out by employees
What is cloud computing?
Its a general term for the delivery of specialist computing services, such as the storage of very large amounts of data provided by husinesses using the internet
What is E-commerce? (Electronic commerce)
Its the act of buying or selling a product using annelectronic system such as the internet
What is M-Commerce? (mobile commerce)
Its the buying and selling of products through wireless handheld devices such as smartphones
What is a shareholder
Its an organisation or person that owns part of a company, each shareholder owns a ‘share’ of the business
