What is Pre-Production?
Work carried out before production of media product begins.
Example: Planning and designing of an idea.

Document to plan for production of a media project. Gives creator vision of final product.
What does Purpose mean?
Reason why something is created or carried out.
What does Feature mean?
An element/aspect/part of something.
What is a Moodboard?
Used to collect samples, materials and relevant content to see what is needed.
Examples: Images, text, colours.
What does Tactile mean?
Process of creating something physically.
What does Digital mean?
Process of creating something on a computer.
What is a Spider Diagram?
Outlines ideas and shows links between different aspects and thoughts of a project.
What is a Branch?
Feature of a Mindmap; connects ideas together
What is a Node?
An idea of spider diagram that is often referred to as the parent idea.
What is a Sub-Node?
Feature of a Mindmap; connects to node.
What is the Main Theme/Idea?
Feature of a Mindmap; main purpose of it.
What is a Visualisation Diagram?
Shows layout of something something in visual manner. Shows how a finished item might look.
What is a Annotation?
A detail reason for decisions made or further explain ideas/concepts.
What is a Storyboard?
Provides visual representation of how a media project will look along a timeline, illustrating a sequence of movements.
What is a Scene?
Feature of both storyboards and scripts. Details where scene is to be filmed/set.
What is a Location?
Feature of both storyboards and scripts. Details where scene is to be filmed/set.
What is a Camera Angle?
Feature of both storyboards and scripts. Refers to position of camera when shot is taken.
What is a Low Angle?
Type of camera angle. Camera looks upwards making subject seem big and powerful.
What is a High Angle?
Type of camera angle. Camera looks downwards making subject seem small and weak.
What is a Medium Close Up?
Type of camera angle. Camera focuses on one single character.
What is a Close Up?
Type of camera angle. Camera focuses on face of one single character.
What is a Extreme Close Up?
Type of camera angle. Camera focuses on one single feature of one single character.
What is a Wide Angle?
Type of camera angle. Camera shows the whole character with some surroundings.
What is a Extreme Wide Angle?
Type of camera angle. Camera takes large amount of area into shot.
What is a Two Shot?
Type of camera angle. Camera focuses on two characters at once, and both are in shot.
What is a Over the Shoulder?
Type of camera angle. Camera points over another characters shoulder.
What is a Wide Shot?
Type of camera angle. Camera shows the character with their surroundings.
What is a Camera Movement?
Feature of storyboards. Refers to the way the camera moves when a shot is taken.
What is a Tilt?
Type of camera movement. Camera leans up or down. however staying in same position.
