What is meant by lead room when composing a shot?
That there is enough space in front of the subject if they are moving/turned to the side
What is the difference between prime lens and zoom lens?
Zoom lens: multiple focus lengths
Prime fixed lens: Fixed focal lengths, wide, normal, telephoto
How do you focus with a zoom lens?
Zoom all the way in on your subject and focus on that, zoom out
What is the main benefit of editing with a non linear editing program?
Being able to jump around the timeline and edit whatever you want in whatever order
What is the difference between a pan and tilt?
Pan: rotating camera on a vertical or horizontal axis
Tilt: camera stays in a fixed position but rotates up/down on a vertical axis
What is a jump cut?
An abrupt transition from one scene/shot to another
What is meant by cut on action?
Making a cut that matches the action directly before it
