If you lose an AC generator airborne, what do we lose?
Ice protection for that side. Cannot fly in icing conditions anymore as it cannot be crossfed
Gas generator overspeed is prevented by what?
Overspeed shut off valve in the HMU, when the Ng reaches 110% the overspeed shut off valve induces flame out by shutting off fuel. There is no auto relight function– overspeed governer in the HMU (exam)
What is the CTOT T/O function in the B model? How do you switch it on?
CTOT T/O provides constant power at take off to counteract torque bloom caused by RAM air at take off.
Require CTOT and Autocoarsen ON
If the Left aileron system is jammed what trim do we use?
Use the standby trim on the right aileron.
How do we reset torque motor?
By shutting engine down, CL to Fuel SHUT OFF
What is the purpose of the CTOT?
Is to increase engine speed beyond the power lever position
What happens when you pull the fire handle?
Engine fuel shut off

How is the power turbine (Np) protected from overspeed?
When Np speed is 25000rpm (1573 prop rpm) is reached, the DECU shuts fuel, after a 5 second delay it initiates ignition for 7 seconds. If the rpm has dropped below overspeed value, the fuel is reintroduced
What is the purpose of the autocoarsen system?
Fast reduction of the windmilling drag experienced at engine failure
How do you feather the propeller?
Move condition lever to the Start detent
What does Duct OVER TEMP light indicate?
ACP compressor discharge temp is above 225 degrees, or

What do you do when there is an elevator trim runaway in the nose down position?
Use the standby trim to disconnect or pull circuit breaker (Right is standby)
If you have used the fire extinguisher in the right engine and the fire is still on, what do you do?

How do you know the AHRS has failed? How we we fix ?
RED ATT or HDG Flag. On failure you can use XSIDE Data for data from other Attitude heading computer, should display yellow XATT on screen
What is the source of power for the STBY Pitot ?

What causes the impending bypass light on the overhead panel?
Fuel filter or Engine Oil

If we use CTOT for TO and what would DECU try to maintain?
Maintain the Torque set while the ITT increases.
CTOT is used to set the TRQ for climb at 1500ft. Passing 10,000ft you notice that the ITT has risen
on both engines by 50°C. All other engine indications are normal. What is the reason for this?
The DECU is trying to maintain the TRQ while the altitude is increasing, leading to increase in ITT
What happens when hydraulic fluid is lost?
Loose all hydraulics except emergency
When does fuel low level caution illuminate?
Fuel level at 135 kgs +/- 30 kgs
If there is no pressure in the emergency accumulator, can the emergency handle release the landing gear?
No it cannot.
If the Hydraulic fluid in the main reservoir is lost, will the HYDR light illuminate on the CWP?
No, only when high temp or loss of pressure
Can the brake accumulators be pressurised by the hand pump?
Yes
