Question 1

Look at the drawing of the cell phone tower and answer the questions that follow:

1. If this cell phone tower were to be build in your community, what would you add to it so that it would cause less visual pollution.

1. Think of ideas to make the tower blend in more with the envirmonment….
2. Make a sketch.
3. Make notes about your sketch and label it.

Question 3

Draw a circuit diagram with a cell, a light bulb and a switch.

The switch should be in the off position.

• Sketches made neatly with ruler
• Give your sketch a title: Circuit Diagram

Draw the letter ‘L’ using a vanishing point.

How to do a single vanishing point drawing:

• On the piece of paper, draw a horizontal line about half way up the page. Mark a dot on it in the centre. This will be your vanishing point.
• Now draw the letter below the horizontal line. The sides of the letter must be at right angles to the bottom of the page and the line that you drew.
• Draw lines from each corner of the object to the vanishing point.

Question 5

Design an emergency shelter for refugees who have lost their homes to bad weather conditions.

The shelter must be able to last for 6 months.

1. Do an orthographic drawing of the shelter.
2. Label the materials.
3. Covering material should be waterproof.
4. It should be big enough for an adult to stand up in the shelter.
