A) Age ≥ 80 years
B) Body weight ≤ 60kg
C) Creatinine ≥ 133 micromol/l or clearance 15-29 ml/minute

Apixaban dosing
5mg BD
OR
2.5mg BD if 2 ABC factors present

Atorvastatin 80mg - treatment
Atorvastatin 20 = Simva 40 = prophylactic
Atorvastatin primary prevention: 20mg OD

Long acting benzo: Chlordiazepoxide or Diazepam
If withdrawal seizures, short acting benzo: Lorazepam
Alcohol dependence risks
Wernicke’s Encephalopathy
IV thiamine followed by Oral thiamine
Increased alcohol reduces thiamine in the body
