- the health, behavious or professional performance of yourself or a colleague w/i the team
- any aspect of the clinical environment
- any action you have been asked to carry out that you believe conflicts w/ your main duty to put px interests first
what is team structure?
identification of the components of a multi-team system that must work together effectively to ensure px safety
what are the 5 key points of conflict management/resolution?
- separate person from problem
- focus on issues, not intent/personal position
- generate variety of options
- base agreement on objective criteria
- prepare for failure before it happens
what should you do when having a difficult conversation?
know the facts; anticipate qs or responses be assertive be empathetic negotiate verbal and non-verbal language listen stay calm
