TCOLE Mission
The mission of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement is to establish and enforce standards to ensure that the people of Texas are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement, corrections, and telecommunications personnel.
History
TCOLE became a state agency by the act of the 59th legislature that became effective on August 30, 1965. Powered by legislation to create rules for the administration through Occupation Codes
