What do biometrics do?
Biometrics authenticate identity using an individual’s unique body features, such as voice, retina, fingerprint, or signature. Costs of biometrics are dropping and they are becoming more reliable.

Voiceprint, fingerprint
Piggybacking
An unauthorized user gains entry into a restricted area by following an authorized user, using the authorized user’s entry credentials to gain access.
Biometrics might reduce this risk. Security guards and video monitoring would be best at reducing this risk.
Phishing
Requests for information delivered via email or text (smishing). Biometrics would not reduce risk of phishing
Sharing access cards.
Biometrics would eliminate this risk.
