Introduce the title and genre (excerpt, passage etc.) of the passage, the author, the writing strategy you are going to use and the central idea you identified (what was the author trying to teach / a message that you can find and apply to humanity).

Second Paragraph: body

Answer 2

Discuss one of the writing strategies in the story that helped you come up with the central idea. Use Strong Evidence, maintain a formal writing style (no “you”’s).

Third Paragraph: Conclusion

Answer 3

Restate the central idea and tie together all of your examples to show how the particular writing strategy developed the central idea.
