4 traction motors per car 750 Volts direct current power supplied by third rail which supplies all power traction motors, converter(for charging on board batteries), air compressor, heating elements, and A/C

“b” car provide 37.5 VDC and have a disconnect switch
What’s the load capacity of the trains?
Each car 59 seated
One wheelchair space
220 passengers standing “crush load”
How can doors be opened during emergency?
Inside: red ball above each door
Outside : access panel next to center doors
External emergency door handle pulled to release system air
Wait 5 seconds manually separate doors ONLY CENTER DOORS
What kind of fire extinguishers does each train carry?
Each car has 2 (Type) 10A/60BC
What is in the ancillary level?
Different control rooms TC&C train communication and control Mechanical room DWP Fan room
Where can you enter the ancillary room front?
Mezzanine level most cases
Where are the sprinkler/standpipe shut offs located ?
The valve rooms

Send a BC (BC13 preferred ) to ROC 2000 E Imperial Hwy to act as liaison
What is the platform level for?
Passengers enter and exit trains
It will have ETS emergency trip station emergency equipment room and access to tunnels
Where are the ETS located?
End of each track indicated by Blue Light Station BLS on wall

What’s the procedure for trip switch?
Roc must be contacted ETEL
Roc de energize track in smaller zone
Trip switch is pushed is immediate it can effect other trains including rescue train
Make sure the entire length of train is in the station
Lockout tag out with FD lock
If trip switch is pushed metro personnel will respond to re rack breakers which will cause delay
