Steel beam temps

A

Steel I beams 50 ft long heated uniformly to 970 F will extend in length approximately 4 inches

At 1000 F a 100 ft long beam will have extended 9 1/2” inches

Fire Temps can be reached in 5-10 mins and about 30 mins the steel will reach those temps

Cooling beams with hoseline WILL cause it to regain it strength and load carrying ability
