Starting Engines with APU

A

CA will call “START ENGINE 1 (2)”

FO: “STARTING ENGINE 1 (2)”
Turn to start for 2 sec and then to run and keep hand over. Start a timer.

Monitor IGN A(B) at 7% N2 and fuel flow at 20% N2

Ensure N1 and N2 accelerate normally and positive oil pressure is indicated

Verify IGN A(B) goes out at about 50% N2

Engine stabilizes at idle and correct target N1 is verified
(-0.1% to +0.5% )

FO: “NORMAL START”

2 min warmup before TO
