in the parallel (sub-circuit) section of a compound (aka combination) circuit, IF each and every branch’s resistance value is the same then the equivalent (i.e., overall total) resistance of the collection of individual resistors of all parallel branches = (“is equal to”) the resistance of one individual branch divided by the number of branches
