Task's for Check Ride Flashcards
1
Q
1028 Hover Power Check
A
- Determine weather aircraft weight exceeds maximum gross weight.
- Anounce his intent to bring the aircraft to hover.
- 3ft stationary hover, in direction of take off.
- Compare actual hover power to recorded power on PCC
- Anounce when manuver is complete.
- Announce if there is sufficient power for mission.
2
Q
1038 Hovering Flight
A
- Annouce intent to perform hover
- hover 3ft +/- 1 foot
- maintain heading +/- 10 degrees
- drift less than 2 feet
- ground track within 2 feet
3
Q
1040 VMC Take Off
A
- Maintain heading +/- 10 degrees within 50 feet of the ground
- Maintain desired ground track
- >50 feet maintain aircraft in trim
- announce type of takeoff to be performed
- complete before take off check, noting power.
- Normal Takeoff:
- 3ft hover
- .5 FLI increase
- maintain ground track till 50ft agl then 65fkts trough 100 ft agl
- Constant Angle:
- initiate from ground or hover
- maintain angle until above obsticals
- Level Acceleration:
- achieve ETL with out allowing aircraft to settle back to ground
- after transverse flow increase forward cyclic and maintain forward until after ETL
- then establish 65kts 500fpm climb
4
Q
1058.1 VMC App to Hover
A
- Maintain constant angle from approach start to termination
- >50 ft agl maintain trim <50ft agl align nose with landing direction
- intercept app angle, lower collective and establish rate of closure and angle.
5
Q
1058.3 Go Around
A
- If safe landing becomes doubtful adjust pitch to stop decent
- accelerate to 65kts
- notify controlling agency
- If staying in pattern climb to patern altitude
- if leaving, climb to trafic pattern altitude+200ft and reenter on the 45 degrees in first 1/3rd of the downwind.
6
Q
1066 Running Landing
A
- Select landing area
- maintain constant angle to desired touchdown area
- touchdown +/- 5 degrees in landing direction with appropriate speed.
- arrive 40kts at 50ft
- maintain less than 300fpm decent
- maintain above ETL
7
Q
1072 Respond to Engine Failure in OGE hover
Flyaway
A
- perform emergency procedure from memory
- reduce collective to maintain rotor RPM
- nose down 15 - 20 degrees
- trim rotor to max
- After 30kts set OEI 2.5 in power (11FLI)
- achieve 45kts until 200ft
- adjust to 65kts and set OEI MCP (10FLI)
8
Q
1072 Respond to Engine Failure in Cruise Flight
Landing
A
- Announce engine failure
- Perform emergency procedure from memory
- trim rotor to max
- shallow approach not more than 300fpm decent
- adjust cyclic for 65kts and arive at 40kts at 50ft agl
- minimum airspeed maximum FLI
9
Q
1082 Autorotation
A
- 700 ft AGL
- lower collective until n2 and rotor rpm split
- establish airspeed between 60-90 kts
- maintain heading +/- 5 degrees
- perform progressive decel no lower than 100 ft
- perform initial collective application 10-15 feet AGL
- Announce entering manuver and rotor rpm split
- 200ft ensure steady state for auto rotation
- rotor rpm within limits
- airspeed
- trim
- postion to terminate on lane
- 100 ft aft cyclic 15-20 degrees for deceleration
- 10-15 ft forward cyclic for 7 degree atitude and raise collective to cusion landing
- Terminate at 5ft hover.
10
Q
1102 Manual Throttle Operation
A
- Recognize the emergency
- from memory perform emergency action procedures
- maintain affected engine FLI match +1 to -2 FLI
- Confirm condition, identify malfunction and announce corrective action
- confirm correct twist grip
- after landing rotate twist grip to idle before lowering collective to full down position
11
Q
1321 Anti-Torque Malfunction
A
- establish entry airspeed 70kts
- maintain constant approach angle
- establish 40kts +10/-5 on final
- after intercepting angle adjust collective and announce at 40 kts if the approach can be continued (nose must be left)
- not more than 300fpm decent
- arive over first 1/3 of landing area
- at or above ETL
- 2 feet AGL
