Q

1040 VMC Take Off

A
  • Maintain heading +/- 10 degrees within 50 feet of the ground
  • Maintain desired ground track
  • >50 feet maintain aircraft in trim
  • announce type of takeoff to be performed
  • complete before take off check, noting power.
  • Normal Takeoff:
    • 3ft hover
    • .5 FLI increase
    • maintain ground track till 50ft agl then 65fkts trough 100 ft agl
  • Constant Angle:
    • initiate from ground or hover
    • maintain angle until above obsticals
  • Level Acceleration:
    • achieve ETL with out allowing aircraft to settle back to ground
    • after transverse flow increase forward cyclic and maintain forward until after ETL
    • then establish 65kts 500fpm climb
