Five Steps of Actions on Contact
Deploy and report, evaluate and develop the situation, choose a COA, execute the selected COA, recommend a coa to the higher commander
Platoon Tactical Tasks
Attack by fire, breach, bypass, clear, control, count-recon, disengage, exfiltrate, follow and assume, follow and support, occupy, reduce, retain, secure, seize, support by fire

Direct fire without closing with the enemy

Remove all enemy forces and resistance from an area
