Chon-Ji literally means heaven and earth. In the orient it is interpreted as the creation of the world or the beginning of human history therefore it is the first pattern learnt by beginners. The pattern consists of 2 similar parts, one representing the heaven and the other, the earth.

What is the sine wave?
Bending the knees slightly gives the body continuous momentum and the downward motion increases both speed and body weight.
What is a horizontal wave?
The body loses dynamic stability as it is crouched during the move. There is no downward movement of the body resulting in no increase in body weight and loss of power.
What is a saw tooth wave?
In this method the knees become straight half way through the movement, this produces a very jerky action that slows the movement and again causes a loss of power.
What are the sections?
High - shoulder lvl and above, middle - waist to shoulder lvl, low - waist lvl and below.

What is a twin forearm block?
It is where both forearms are used. The primary block being an outer forearm side block and the secondary block being a rising block, both performed at the same time.
