Place ladder pipe in service

A

Rotate turntable, align arrow and check alignment
Lower ladder 3 feet above tiller cage
Rotate ladder to one side and lower into position to attach the ladder pipe

Preparing to hoist Aerial ladder with ladder pipe

A

Attache ladder pipe assembly to top fly section
Position ladder pipe control arm
Connect hose to ladder pipe and attach guide lines
stretch guide lines to a safe area on turntable, opposite side from pedestal

Place ladder in position to use ladder pipe

A

Raise to 70 degrees
Tie 3” hose to bottom of top fly with utility rope Hook passed under rung and hooked on rung above hook facing you
Extend to desire height
call for water

Return Aerial ladder to Bed

A
Calls for water to be shut down
drain hose lines using clapper valve
retract ladder all the way
Release utility rope
Rotate turntable, align arrows and check
Lower ladder 3' above cage, rotate to one side of tiller and lower to remove adder pipe
remove guide lines, hose, ladder pipe
hoist ladder to 4" above cage
Rotate turntable, align arrows
Check allignment
Lower ladder into bed, and settle
Zero out pressure

When making Aerial ready to drive, when retracting jacks

A

Start on high side, lower a few inches then switch to low side and lower a few inches… repeat until fully retracted to prevent binding

A

Foot on brake pedal
Confirm “Jack not Nested” light not illuminated
Confirm transmission in Neutral
PTO to off position
-brake lock off
Remove wheel chocks on wheel, release tractor brake
