T4 2024 Flashcards
Name Earths 4 Sphere’s
- Lithosphere
- Biosphere
- Hydrosphere
- Atmosphere
(Order does not matter)
How do Greenhouse Gases work?
They absorb the rays that are reflected off the surface of Earth and then reflect some of that Radiation back to Earth
What makes Greenhouse Gases insulators?
They are all made of 3 or more atoms, they are held together loosely so that they vibrate when hit by radiation
List some of the evidences for Climate Change
Increase in Global Surface Temperature, Ocean Acidification, Increasing Ocean Temperatures, Melting Ice, Increasing Co2 levels in the Atmosphere, Rising Sea Levels, Increase in Extreme Weather Events
Say the word Equation for Photosynthesis
Water + Carbon Dioxide > Glucose + Oxygen
Describe the Greenhouse Effect
The Greenhouse effect is where certain gases (called Greenhouse Gases) which are contained in the Atmosphere absorb and reflect some of the Radiation that is bounced back int space.
What is the word equation for Respiration?
Oxygen + Glucose > Carbon Dioxide + Water
Give an example of a carbon atom moving through the Carbon Cycle
There really isn’t an answer to this, although it needs to be logical and true and needs to move through many of Earth’s Sphere
What is the chemical Equation for Photosynthesis?
6Co2 + 6H2O >(Chlorophyll, Sunlight) > 6O2 + C6H12O6
What is the Chem Equation for Respiration?
C6H12O6 + 6O2 > 6H2O + 6Co2
What structure should a Graph analysis be?
- Simple sentence generally describing the trend of the Graph
- Describe the trend as proportional, exponential or logarithmic.
- Give evidence, rpovide numbers.
- Explain what this means.
