What is problem definition?
Defines the scope of the project. Both parties (customer and the expert) to ensure the correct problem is solved
What is the feasibility study?
To ensure the system that needs building can be built- economic- time- political- technical- social
What is the analysis stage?
Produce the requirements specification by under going fact finding
What is fact finding?
Process of gathering information about the current and future systems.
What are the 4 main methods of fact finding?
Observation, questionnaire, interview and document collecting
What is design?
Designing how it will look and how it will work. Key elements are:- input/output- DFD’s- algorithm design
What is implementation?
Is when the new system is installed
What are the different types of implementation?
Direct, phased, parallel and pilot
