Q

What are the different types of inputs?

A
  • LDR
    detects changes in light levels
Resistance increases in the dark and decreases in light
Used in street lights + security lights
  • Pressure Sensor
detects changes in pressure in gases or liquid.
used to detect a leak in a fuel system triggering a warning light if pressure fails
    -Switch
turn a circuit on or off
types include push, slide or toggle
used in lighting, control panels and power switches
  • Temperature Sensor
    Detects a change in temperature
    Temperature increase, resistance decreases
used in household appliances and vehicles

Q

What are the different types of processes?

A
  • Resistor
used to limit the flow of current and helps to protect some components from being overload
  • Microcontroller
  • a programmable component is a chip which is used in electrical products such as washing machines
