APU Start
Ground vs Inflight
Inflight you have to manually close the Crosstie before starting the APU. Then manually reopen.
Crosstie is Auto on the ground
Emergency Descent Mode (EDM) is activated when:
At or above FL310
AP engaged
Cabin ALT 14,500’
EMERGENCY DESCENT CAS EMER DESCENT on scoreboard “Emergency descent” aural 90* LEFT turn ALT select 15,000’ Vmo/Mmo -10
BUS TIE auto closes on the ground when
A single primary power source is connected
Any START button is pressed (ENG or APU)
BUS TIE auto OPENs on the ground
A primary power source is connected to each side
An overcurrent condition exsists
