What is classified as normotension?
< 140 mmHg SBP
What is classified as prehypertensive/ low risk of target organ damage?
SBP 140-159mmHg
What BP range is classified as hypertensive with moderate TOD risk?

What BP range is classified as severely hypertensive with high TOD risk?
SBP >/= 180
What are the steps for deciding to treat or not to treat a patient where either pre hypertension or hypertension is noted at a veterinary visit?
When should a BP/ TOD be rechecked once antihypertensive therapy has been started or treatment has been adjusted?
Within 7-10 days
