Systematic Theology Flashcards
Romans 12:2
Do NOT conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
THEN you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
2 Corinthians 5:9
So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
Philippians 2:5
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

2 Peter 1:21
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
5 reasons the Bible came from God
1) unity of the message of scripture from diverse human sources
2) choose to believe because of the extraordinary claims (prophets)
3) fulfillment of prophecy..hundreds of years sometimes thousands of years in advance
4) honesty of scripture regarding the very people it’s about (hero is always God)
5) the unique revelation and personal work of our Lord Jesus Christ in the lives of his people
John 1:18
No one has EVER seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
Amos 4:13
He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth-
The Lord God Almighty is his name.
