Q

Discuss a usability problem which could occur for users of a Game Console Controller.

A

(These can address any of the measures of usability)

Learnability & Memorability - Some controllers have many buttons and controls which some users may have difficulty learning.

Satisfaction - As game console controllers started having more and more buttons and controls, users who may have been used to simpler controllers may find this frustrating.

Ergonomics - Buttons and controllers may be difficult to reach, the handle grips may not fit nicely into the hand.

Accessibility - Typical controllers are not designed for people with certain accessibility issues, for example a person with one hand cannot use most controllers on the market.

Q

Discuss one social implication, one moral implication, one ethical implication, one economic implication, and one environmental implication related to having more people working from home.

A

Social: Less opportunity for people to interact fact to face, potentially causing more loneliness, and potentially people will miss out on developing people skills

Ethical: Not everyone has equal access to technology and stable internet connection, which can create concerns of fairness for people from underprivileged regions around access to these jobs, and opportunity for career growth.

Moral: Work-life balance, the lines between working life and home life can be blurred if people are working from their personal living space meaning they may not feel as though they get the same kind of break from work as working in an office and leaving it at the end of the day.

Economic: Less need for building space, which could allow companies to allocate money that would have been used for rent towards other things.

Environmental: People working from home commute less, so there may be fewer vehicles on the road, emitting less pollution into the atmosphere.
