it is a lubricant for the joint

it removes debris and replaces the fluid

adds strength and protection

it reduces friction in the joint
what is the function of cartilage in the joint?
assists in shock absorption
what is the function of a ligament in the joint?
it hold the bones together and stops the joint moving out of its range of motion preventing dislocation

they allow you to move in one direction like a door
