Rule A
A single consonant, including ch, ll, and rr, between vowels goes with the following vowel.
Rule B
A consonant followed by l or r, except in the combinations rl, sl, tl, and sr, is not divided from that consonant, and they both go with the following vowel.
Rule C
S is always separated from a following consonant
Rule D
When an two consonants not in Rule B come between vowels, and in the combinations rl and tl, one consonant goes with the first vowel and the other with the following vowel.
Rule E
When three consonants come together, two go with one syllable, and one with the other. The two consonants that go together must adhere to the rules already given.
Rule F
Prefixes generally constitute separate syllables and are therefore inseperable, even though they may violate the usual rules.
