Clamp large tissue bundles that contain blood vessels.
Occlude blood flow when perpendicular to vessel.
Has longitudinal and transverse grooves at the distal tip.
Often found in spay packs, crush ovarian pedicles or uterus

Clamp blood vessels or control large tissue bundles.
Only has transverse grooves along the entire length

Ferguson Angiotribe Forceps
Crush powerfully and create a fold in tissues.
Common in spay packs, can be applied to uterine horns and spermatic cord

Doesn’t have a lot of surface area, just the tip grabs it

Pick up, hold and maneuver delicate tissue.
Has alligator teeth, more teeth and larger surface area than Adson.
Used to suture skin, muscle layer, fascia.
Used in spays/neuters a lot

Can cause extensive damage to delicate tissues.
Has teeth at the end, more so than Addison. The teeth interdigitate
