A

Causes port to enter forwarding state immediately, bypassing listening and learning states. Only enable on host ports

Root Guard

A

Prevents a port from becoming a root port. Forces interface to become a designated port to prevent surrounding switches from becoming a root switch. If a better bpdu is received on the port, Root Guard err disables port. Enable on all access ports.

BPDU Guard

A

Puts interface into err disabled upon receipt of a BPDU. This is to avoid a bridging loop and an authorized switch from becoming the root bridge.

BPDU Filter

A

Disables STP on a port by preventing them from sending or receiving a BPDU. Takes precedence over a BPDU guard.
