Swing - 32 bar song form, height of rifts
Bebop - Very independant
Ragtime - Sectional
What is the ensemble difference?
Swing - Family groupings
Bebop - Smaller, independant
Ragtime - Usually just piano

Swing - featured small groups
Bebop - re-establishment of blues
