A

Emergency powers
Requires two key ingredients exist for any situation to be recognised as one of emergency or urgency

entitled to apply
Means you would be entitled to make an application for a SDW as the situation is one of serious criminal activity

Impracticable in the circumstances
Means you need to use a device urgently as it is not immediately practical to obtain a SDW

A

Must not exceed 48 hours

Approval to use an interception device and emergency emergency situations should be obtained from a detective inspector

A

Where a warrantless surveillance device power is exercised notification to judge within one month after the date of the last day of any 48 hour or less over which the surveillance device was used

There is no renewal procedure, a new application must be made
