A
EXTRA-CONAL: between recti cone and periorbita
limited anteriorly by the orbital septum/tarsal plates,
eye
pathology/disease here often results in non-axial exophthalmus with lid involvement

A
INTRA-CONAL: within the recti cone directly posterior to the globe surface, pathology/disease here often causes in axial exophthalmus, with little or no conjunctival or eyelid involvement as it is limited behind the globe -> white eye on clinical examination

TENON’S SPACE: between sclera and fascial sheath, pathology/disease here usually presents as a red,
painful, inflammed eye
