Opens sterile hand pick and scrub brush
Wet hands and forearms
Wash hands and forearm with antiseptic soap (keep hands above elbow)
Rinse hands and forearms
Use sterile nail pick to clean under nails (discard into sharps)
Use sterile brush

How to perform first surgical scrub?

Answer 2

Use prickly side to wash under nails of each hand
Use sponge of brush to wash hands
Start left hand - palm, dorsum, lateral aspect, thumb, fingers and interdigit spaces, medial aspect of hand, wrist and forearm.
Repeat on right hand.
Rinse

How to perform final surgical scrub

Answer 3

Use antiseptic soap
Wash palms, interlock fingers, each digits (left - thumb to little to right thumb to little), rub tips of fingers to palms, interlock fingers palms facing then over the other, then wrist and forearms.
