A
surgeon’s throw + simple throw; higher knot friction = greater knot security BUT it is bulky.

A
applying uneven tension to both strands or pulling up when tightening; used for deep cavities or tight spaces.

A
- Always apply even tension to both strands except slip knot.
- Always secure with additional 2 simple throws min.
- Avoid excessive tightening.

used in confined spaces BUT uses more suture material than instrument ties.
