A
- Hemodynamic instability
- Sepsis
- Severe ascites
- Peritonitis
- Abdominal wall infection at the selected site of placement
- Marked peritoneal carcinomatosis
- Interposed organs
- History of total gastrectomy
- Gastric outlet obstruction (if being used for feeding recommend GJ tube)
- Severe gastroparesis (if being used for feeding recommend GJ tube)
- Peritoneal dialysis

A
- Wound infection - Blockage of tube - Peritonitis
- Necrotizing fasciitis - Gastric outlet obstruction
- Hemorrhage
- Stoma leakage - Aspiration pneumonia
- Accidental PEG removal
- Metastatic seeding
- Pneumoperitoneum - Buried bumper syndrome
