If development projects are truly aiding the city for public use (increase jobs, increase tax revenue), city can take your land as long as they abide by the 5th amendment’s takings clause (just compensation)
West Virginia State board of Education v. Barnett
Schools can force students to perform practices that violate their religious beliefs (eg. Saluting the flag)
