Consumables (9B COG); No turn in required.
Repairable (7R COG); AVDLR.
Aviation Supply consists of 2 sections:
SRS & CCS.
SRS
Supply Response Section
The single point of contact for processing customer requirements and providing follow ups and status as required. Mainly 9B COG.
Supply Response Section
SRS is divided into 5 units.
Requisition Control Unit (RCU), Technical Research Unit (TRU), Material Delivery Unit (MDU), Program Management Unit (PMU), and Pre-Expended Bin (PEB).
Requisition Control Unit (RCU)
Receives all orders and directs them to the appropriate destination. Also make sure orders are valid and print our a DD Form 1348-1A.
Technical Research Unit (TRU)
Researches problem documents and alternate stock #’s.
Material Delivery Unit (MDU)
Responsible for pickup and delivery of all material to customer if it’s available onboard.
Program Management Unit (PMU)
Processes and expediates high-priority requirements. (broad arrow, work-stoppage)
Pre-Expended Bin (PEB)
Contains free-issue of high usage, maintenance-related material such as nuts, botls, etc.
CCS
Component control section
Component Control Section (CCS)
Responsible for the management and accounting of all repairable assets stored in the LRCA storage areas. Mainly 7R COG
Component Control Section (CCS) is divided into 4 units.
Document Control Unit (DCU), Local Repairable Cycle Asset (LRCA), Supply Screening Unit (SSU), Awaiting Parts Unit (AWP).
Document Control Unit (DCU)
Responsible for the control of all non-RFI components in the IMA repair cycle, components awaiting turn-in, and all associated documents.
Local Repairable Cycle Asset (LRCA)
Components that are able to be repaired on board. Maintained in the LRCA storage unit.
