- Related/common nucleus of operative fact;
- Cannot circumvent lack of diversity over 3P;
- Does not require AIC by P or diversity by D’s impeaded claim;
- Cannot be used solely to defeat diversity and common nucleus requirements
- Judicial economy reasons
