Pronator Teres Origin and Insertion
Origin- medial epicondyle of humerus and coronoid process of ulna
Insertion- lateral surface of radius
Pronator Teres Action
Pronate the forearm; assist to flex the elbow
Flexor Carpi Radialis Origin and insertion
Origin- medial epicondyle of humerus
Insertion- base of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals
Flexor Carpi Radialis action
Flex and abduct the wrist; may assist to flex the elbow
Palmaris Longus origin and insertion
Origin- medial epicondyle of humerus
Insertion- flexor Retinaculum and palmar aponeurosis
Palmaris longus action
Tense the palmar fascia; flex the wrist; may assist to flex elbow
Flexor carpi ulnaris origin and insertion
Origin- Humeral head: medial epicondyle of humerus
Ulnar head: Posterior surface of proximal ulna (olecranon process)
Insertion- pisiform, hook of hamate and base or 5th metacarpal
Flexor Carpi ulnaris action
Flex and adduct the wrist; assist to flex the elbow
