Small explosive store designed for projection by hand or from a personal weapon, occasionally a special discharged or launcher may be used
Definition of FFR
A tube open at one end in which fuel is burnt, the gases from the burning fuel escape out of the opened end, the momentum of escaping gases caused an equal and opposite reaction on the closed end with the projectile flight path unable to be changed
Definition of SAA
Ammunition for weapons such as pistols, rifles and machine guns below 20mm in calibre
Definition of Recoilless
If 2 equal weights can be fired opposite directions at equal velocity the weapon will be recoilless
Role/definition of a mortar
Provide organic indirect fire support to the infantry battalion, it provides the CO neutralising, suppressive and destructive indirect fire at decisive events supporting the close-in battle to allow their forces manoeuvre to defeat the enemy

Role of Armour
Locate, identify and destroy or capture the enemy, by day or night, in combination with other arms, using fire and manoeuvre
