how did the Women’s Suffrage Movement protest?
in a variety of ways. the suffragists protested peacefully, using lawful means. this, although more respected, did not give the cause much meaning.
the suffragettes, however, believed that the only way for Women’s Suffrage to be taken seriously was to make it impossible to ignore. they did this by unlawful means such as throwing rocks and bombing important buildings.
how were the protesters fighting for Women’s Suffrage treated?
for the most part, women weren’t taken seriously. the role of women was primarily to take after their husbands, so the notion that they would be allowed a vote was preposterous. some suffragettes were seen as crazy, insane or downright stupid for proposing such a thing.
