What is central retinal vein occlusion?
A
Incidence increases with age
More common than arterial occlusion
Caused by glaucoma, polycythaemia and HTN
Retinal haemorrhages seen on fundoscopy

What is central retinal artery occlusion?
A
Due to thromboembolism or arteritis
Afferent pupillary defect
“Cherry red” spot on pale retina
