Asking if you have the resources to handle this stress, perception of the inability to cope with stress - negative stress , and reciprocal

Modifying problems that lie at the root of the stress, it is the best way to handle a situation
Emotion focused coping is
Changing the way you act toward a stimulus , used when the situation is not changeable.

A perceived threat causes patient to avoid it, so not moving the joint because it hurts will cause more pain later.
