  • Anticipate withdrawal and DTs (delirium tremens = a severe, sometimes fatal, form of delirium d/t alcohol withdrawal following a period of sustained intoxication)
  • Provide a quiet, safe environment
  • Place on seizure precautions
  • Anticipate giving a medication such as Librium
