compound
two subjects or two predicates in one sentence
what is a subject
person or thing that does the action. most of the time the subject first in a sentence
what is a predicate
other half of the sentence that explains what the subject is doing. (main verb of the sentence, the object, other phrases or clauses.)
simple subject
The one word that represents the subject. (the persons name, subject pronoun, and main noun in the sentence.
simple predicate
The main verb of the sentence. tells what the subject is doing. ( action verb)
being verbs: is, am, are, was, were, be, being, been
helping verbs: have, has, had, could, should, would, can, and will.
complete subject
the simple subject/predict and any other articles, adjectives, or phrases.

Hint: Simple means ONE
compound means TWO
complete means ALL
