What is a subdural haemorrhage?
A
Bleed under the dura mater, above the arachnoid mater.

Where is the subdural region and what does it contain?
A
The dura mater is made up of two layers. The outer periosteal layer and the inner meningeal layer.
The subdural space lies between the meningeal dura layer and the arachnoid mater.
Subdural space contains bridging veins that drain into the venous sinuses between the dura layers so a rupture of these veins will result in a haemorrhage.
