Regnum a centurionibus, domus a servis velut capta vastarentur
Two parallel phrases, neatly balanced.
Authority of centurions juxtaposed with ignominosity of slaves (not employees) - how humiliating treatment of his home was
REPITITION of regnum and domus. Ironic the two things he wanted to protect. Tacitus’ moral judgement?
