A term used to identify dates that occurred long ago before the birth of Jesus Christ. It means before Christ. BC dates get smaller as time passes.
A D.
A term used to identify dates that occurred after Jesus is birth. AD dates get larger as time passes.
B.C.E.
Another way to refer to BC dates. It stands for before the common era.
CE
Another way to refer to AD dates. It stands for common era
Fossil
A part or imprint of something that once was alive

The time before there was writing

An early ancestor of humans
